Central African Republic: Hunger Threatens Population, U.N. Warns

The article is speaking on the living situation for the people of the C.A.R. The people there are starving because of their years in conflict earlier have kept the farmers away from the fields. Because of this the country is facing a major emergency where half the population has absolutely no food.
The fact that the only aid that this country is getting from the others is a small amount of $41 million, is strange. Why aren't more countries helping to get this situation under control? This country needs help to feed it's people at least until they get their feet on the ground again.
This must have a huge effect on the daily political life of the people in the C.A.R. Half the population is starving so they will probably need to import more or be forced to immigrate to neighboring countries. The only sure thing is that the C.A.R. government will need to act rapidly and soon.
